We're Anne and Meg, sisters and granddaughters of Gordon Gibson and Mary MacLean.

We'd heard pieces of their story over the years — how they met at a dance on Catalina Island, how they wrote to each other through the war, how the distance made every word more precious. But it wasn't until we started going through everything they'd left behind — the letters, the photographs, the mementos they'd held onto for decades — that their story truly came to life. We knew immediately it was meant to be shared.

Around the same time, we fell in love with the letter subscription clubs that were popping up — the idea of something real arriving in your mailbox, something to slow down with. It felt like the perfect way to tell Gordon and Mary's story. Not as a book. Not as a podcast. The way it was first lived — through letters.
